AUGUST 10TH 2008
Becky competed in the preliminary rounds of the gymnastics competition in Beijing today, helping GB to 9th place - just narrowly missing out on Team Finals. This means the competition is now over for Becky, and she can relax and enjoy life in the Olympic village now. Well done Becky!

JULY 29TH 2008
Becky and the rest of the team arrived at the pre-Olympic holding camp in Maccau and have been enjoying the sunshine and training in the lead up to the Games starting next week!  The team have been training hard but have also had chance to un-wind and have even met the players from Chelsea football club who are also training in Maccau.  Becky has written a short diary from the camp and we hope she has time to send more updates over the course of the next few weeks.  We will be brining you all the news from Beijing as it happens!

Becky did extremely well this weekend at the British Championships! She finished 2nd AA behind Becky Downie from Notts. Today during the apparatus finals, Becky placed 3rd on bars, 7th on beam and tied for 4th on floor. They also announced the 2008 Olympics team - Beth Tweddle, Becky Wing, Becky Downie, Laura Jones, Marissa King, and Hannah Whelan. Congratulations Becky!! Full results have been posted from Nationals. Pictures and videos will be coming soon.

16 june 2008
Becky was in Ipswich over the weekend competing as part of the British team for an international friendly against Romania. As a team the British women placed 2nd behind the defending Olympic champions. Becky competed on vault, bars and beam scoring 14.550, 13.850, 14.300 respectively. During the event finals on Sunday Becky placed 4th on both bars and beam. A video of Becky's vault has been added to the videos page.

Today we have added a new photo album with 9 pictures from the British Team Championships, as well as videos of Becky's vault and beam from the competition on the newly organised video page. This past weekend Becky was in Constanta, Romania with the British senior team competing against the defending Olympic champs in a friendly duel. Becky & co placed 2nd behind the host, but will face them again next weekend in Ipswich.

Becky was strong and solid yesterday to help Heathrow A win the bronze medal at the British Team Championships. Full results, scores, photos and videos coming soon! Well done, Becky!

At the Cottbus Cup World Cup event in Germany this past week Becky placed 22nd on vault with 12.225, 17th on beam with 14.025 and an impressive 10th on floor, scoring 13.550. We have added some photos from the competition.

Becky competed today at the Great Britain vs France competition at the Blackpool. It was a close competition where France defeated GB, 229.300-227.500. Becky competed on all four events, where she placed 11th in the all-around with a 54.250. To view the full results from the meet, click here. We have posted new videos from the 2008 GB vs Czech.

Becky is currently in Macau at a training camp for the British team before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. We're sure she'll have loads to tell us in her next journal entry when she returns. Today we have added some lovely family portraits as well as two videos from 2007 & 2006 British Nationals.

Congratulations to Becky and her team mates Becky Downie, Aisling Williams, Hannah Clowes and Marissa King who competed in the team final this afternoon, and finished 7th! This is a historic day for GB, who have never qualified to a team finals before, so well done to everyone. Photos have now been added!

GB sixth after Prelims!

Becky and GB team is in Stuttgart, Germany right now for the 2007 World Championships. They did an outstanding job placing sixth and qualified to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China and to the team finals on Wednesday! Becky did a good job on all three events. She started off on balance beam and did a clean routine scoring 14.400. She then did a clean Yurchenko 1.5 on vault scoring 14.350. On the last event, Becky received 13.975 on bars. Good job Becky & the GB team!
