But before she was born she was a very fidgety baby! Showing signs of activity then!

May 93 10 Months

I found she had climbed to the top of our 3 step ELC slide unaided – when I thought she was just ‘sitting’ in the garden!

Aug 93 12 Months

Would hang on to anything in reach and just swing! Was showing considerable energy levels already and she just loved being active – climbing chairs was a favourite!

Jan 94 - July 95 18 Months - 3 Yrs

Attended a ‘Fun-Fit’ activity club once a week. They did action songs. Then they set up obstacle courses with structured routines to develop different physical skills – monkey bars, bunny hops, through hoops, jumping sideways, backwards, forwards etc. She loved this club and she showed great control and display of physical skills on all activities even then!

Trampolining - we took a change in activity for Variety and to have some fun! She loved this but when she was 4 years she wanted to do more gymnastics.

May 99 - Dec 2004 7-12 Years

Accepted at Pinewood Gymnastics Club to work with Natalie Ryan and Fergus Beedham. Natalie was Becky’s main coach and she took Becky forward when Fergus left to regain the British Champion title at Level 2. Natalie was an excellent development coach and was very special to Becky. She gave her a fantastic foundation in her gymnastics development. Lyn Fairbrother also coached Becky on beam at Pinewood and was a great support to her over the years.

Joined Heathrow Gymnastics Club to work with Vince and Michelle Walduck and Natalia Illenko-Jarvis. When Vince and Michelle are on holiday John Pirie comes down to coach the squad as well as other coaches from Heathrow Club. She loves training with the other gymnasts there and besides working hard they have fun too! She enjoys training for the ‘big’ competitions as well working towards the fun and well renown Christmas Display.
