2007 School Awards Evening
Becky was awarded the prestigious “Headteacher’s Special Award” This award is the final one at the ceremony and the unknown winner is announced on the evening – awarded only to one person from the whole school. Becky won it because of her outstanding achievement in her gymnastics as well as her outstanding achievement and participation in school – academically as well as school sports (Double district champion 2007 in 200m and long jump). And her ability to balance both sport and school life and succeed in both.

2005 Rushmoor Sports Awards
Becky won award for “Most outstanding Performer in Schools Sport 2005” This is an annual award event set this year up by our Council – Rushmoor Borough Council - in conjunction with Hampshire County Council to recognise sporting achievement, participation or association with sport this year in all of the boroughs primary and secondary schools. It was set up for the first time this year in recognition of the 2012 London Olympics and the need to encourage and reward sporting achievements. There are 3 nominations for each award made by the sports department of local schools. On the evening one person is awarded the award – a bit like the ‘Oscars’ In 2006 Becky was invited back to give a short speech to say what she had done in gymnastics since winning the award. She wore her GB track suit and spoke about her achievements in 2006 (fortunately a busy and successful year!)
